& Team
Morgan Ferri, LMBT #17939
Morgan graduated on the Dean's List from the Therapeutic Massage Program at Wake Technical Community College, is trained in Swedish, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, Sports and Trigger Point massage, and has a strong anatomical background. She is also a visual artist trained in various mediums, and considers massage therapy an another form of art as well as a science. ROSS DUNCAN, LMBT #9637
Ross has been in the massage business since 1999, when he graduated first from North Carolina School of the Healing Arts, then from American and European Massage Academy. Since then he has been actively studying two underrepresented modalities of Asian bodywork, Tui Na and Thai Bodywork. These unique styles can reach deep and old soft tissue injuries and disfunctions. His other areas of interest and research is the autonomic nervous system and how it regulates the stress response, and how it can be improved through touch therapies. In the last 5 years Ross has also had specialized training in massage therapy to offer relief from the pain and discomfort of spinal paralysis. He practices the related arts of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, which inform his bodywork and massage.
Christy Blankenship, LMBT #2630
Christy has been practicing massage & bodywork in NC since 2001 after graduating in 2000 from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. Her work experience has included resort spas as well as franchises and standalone massage offices in NC. Christy believes in the power of relaxation as a healing force, and she works collaboratively with her clients to create individualized plans for each session. While adept at providing a deeply relaxing spa flow session, Christy also is skilled at targeting specific areas of tension (like headaches) using a variety of techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, stretching, and energy work. She joined Lotus Temple in January 2023.
Martha SOloninka, LMBT # 21868
Martha spent her childhood right here in Raleigh. Before finding her calling in massage therapy, Martha gained valuable experience in various customer service roles, from high end restaurant settings to navigating the logistical challenges and fast pasted work environment of Amazon. However, it wasn't until 2021, during a visit to Lotus Temple, that Martha experienced her first massage—a transformative moment that sparked her journey into the world of bodywork.
Choosing massage therapy as her career path was a natural fit for Martha. Eager to make a difference in people's lives, she was drawn to the hands-on nature of the profession and the opportunity to work directly with people and provide immediate results. Martha received her education through Wake Tech's Massage Therapy program. Wake Tech has a strong focus on anatomy and physiology, as well as a range of clinical massage modalities, and Wake Tech graduates are known for their professionalism and competence. Martha's insatiable curiosity and attention to detail serve her well in her practice, where she continually seeks to expand her knowledge and skills.
Martha specializes in a variety of massage techniques, offering clients a tailored experience designed to address their unique needs and preferences. Whether it's a relaxing Swedish massage or a therapeutic deep tissue session, clients can expect Martha's full attention and expert touch during every session. We are lucky to have been able to work closely with Martha during her training, and are confident that she gives a massage the "Lotus Temple Way." Expect long, slow, deep pressure, lots of myofascial unwinding, rhythmic rocking, gentle stretches, and open communication to ensure your experience is everything you've come to expect from Lotus Temple.
